TECHNICAL SHEET FOR THE AUTHORIZATION TO FOREIGN CARRIERS FOR EXCEPTIONAL TRANSPORTATION FOR CIRCULATION IN ITALY
DOCUMENTS FOR VEHICLES REGISTERED ABROAD
Foreign carriers who intend to travel in Italy with foreign exceptional vehicles or carry out exceptional transports, must also attach the document provided for in Article 14c to the normal documents. 12 of the Highway Code (CDS), explicitly indicating the exceptionality of mass and size.
This technical document (SCHEDA TECNICA), therefore, does not replace the authorization of the road owner or the original vehicle documentation (registration certificate, etc. with translation) but is only valid as a declaration of the maximum masses and dimensions for which the vehicle can circulate.
The validity of the document in question cannot normally exceed 12 months or in any case exceed that of the registration document issued by the country of registration of the vehicle.
ATTACHMENT TO SCHEDA TECNICA:
- Technical data sheet of the vehicle manufacturer
- A certified copy of the registration certificate
- Other documents such as Power of Attorney etc.
RENEWAL OF TECHNICAL SHEET / SCHEDA TECNICA
The technical authorization must be renewed if the outfitting or the exceptional load, while maintaining the original declared dimensions and / or masses, are of a different nature from those shown in the drawings attached to it. In fact, no changes are allowed with respect to what is indicated in the technical information sheet (SCHEDA TECNICA).
